Takehiro Iikawa
PROFILE
Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1981. Currently based in Kobe. Graduated from Seian University of Art and Design, Department of Information Design, Video Class. In 2007, he began producing the Decorator Crab series. Transformation occurs when the viewer actively engages with the work. Objects and spaces connect with events that occur simultaneously in other places (for zero or more viewers), as if they were something someone left behind. In works such as ``Berry Heavy Bag'' and ``Mr. Kobayashi the Pink Cat,'' a large sculpture that cannot be captured in its entirety, he positively captures the coincidences that occur due to the viewer's actions, and creates works that develop while provoking thought.
